Is there any reason why the athletic mouthguards sold in sporting goods
stores can't be worn as nightguards to prevent teeth grinding/bruxism?

I have some pain in my jaw...not sure if it's my TMJ or a wisdom tooth.
(I'm 20).  If it's a wisdom tooth, is there anything I can do for the
pain besides the Tylenol I'm taking? I'm seeing my dentist Friday. I
had similar pain on the other side about a month ago...it only last 2-3
