Do dental schools care that you complete a BSc degree through online?12 Jul 2005 09:16 GMT1
Or do they prefer that you complete a BSc degree through the normal
way--attending university?
Damage to crown piece11 Jul 2005 20:20 GMT5
My dentist recently (accidently) dropped my permenant multi-piece crown
(which will cover over 10 teeth - upper). Uggh. I'm concerned that
perhaps it bent on impact. No doubt my dentist will say it's all right,
not to worry. I'm wondering that the post-implantation pain will be
Dentists' view(s) of Listerine "Whitening Pre-Brush Rinse"11 Jul 2005 17:36 GMT3
I never got a reply about this earlier post (i.e., replies were
somewhat off-topic), so am trying again:
I'd like to know what dentists think of Listerine's new "Whitening
Pre-Brush Rinse," which the company claims "safely whitens teeth."
Pulpotomy vs. Root Canal11 Jul 2005 17:05 GMT12
Just came across this term, and it seems as if a pulpotomy is PART of
RCT, yet I see it described as an additional option.
Can a tooth be saved with a pulpotomy and a filling/crown? Advantages?
Disadvantages?

Are three implants, all placed towards the front of the mouth, enough to
support a full upper denture?
Gap between gum and bottom of tooth? Bad?11 Jul 2005 03:30 GMT4
I can poke my fingernail under my bottom front teeth. Maybe it's not a
"gap", I can't see a gap, but... I can slide my fingernail down the tooth
and then when it gets to my gums the fingernail goes in and under the bottom
of the tooth.
Glidewell any good?10 Jul 2005 10:21 GMT9
I'm sending out for a porcelain onlay, just got an itch to do one instead of
full coverage. The local labs don't really do them much so I thought I'd go
with Glidewell. I've had them do some work before and it was good, just a
bit more adjusting than I'm used to with the local guys. ...
NTI questions10 Jul 2005 05:35 GMT8
after a couple of weeks I can agree in NTI being a good tool for my
patients. I have one patient complaining about the teeth not fitting
together but every day it's different. I use the NTI myself and have the
same problem.
Dental Advice10 Jul 2005 05:35 GMT40
I just found out from my Oral Surgeon (needed to get my wisdom teeth
out - whole other story) that I probably need a couple of root canals
done.
My question is he mentioned seeing an endodontist. I understand they
DECAY09 Jul 2005 17:15 GMT4
Question: Would a tooth that has experienced some degree of decay
continue to decay after a crown has been allpied? If so, wouldn't the
crown be in jeopardy of being lost in time, since the "anchor"
(original tooth) weakens? Also, if the crown shifts, as would be far
Summertime activity: donate blood09 Jul 2005 15:11 GMT13
If I could, I would, but I don't qualify as a donor ... If you can,
maybe you wouldn't mind sharing.

Hey everyone,
I just had dental implant surgery one week ago and two implants were
placed in the location of my two front upper teeth.  Previously I had
