Longevity of surface "fillings"?09 May 2005 11:27 GMT1
I know a person who had six surface type fillings about two years ago.
Within about six months three had fallen off and were replaced. There were
two repeats of this in the following year, one with a second dentist, and
not all the same three teeth were involved. Less than two years ...

CROWNS, CON'T09 May 2005 05:55 GMT6
Since a reply to my previous CROWNS posting said he desired more
information in order to provide a more conprehensive answer, I'll just
say this: I've never heard of every tooth in a mouth being crowned. My
teeth are not in very good condition - besides discoloration, most of

Sargenti paste08 May 2005 18:17 GMT30
I just found out that this material was used on a root canal in my
upper jaw 5 years ago.  Since that time I developed osteomyelitis in
that same area and sinus problems.  I do not have that tooth anymore.
I have lost a good part of my upper jaw.
TMJ - possible solution08 May 2005 13:59 GMT4

Need Opinion by Dentist06 May 2005 08:01 GMT2
Teeth 18-20 are missing thanks to having a bridge removed.  It was a 4 unit
bridge anchored to 17 and 20 but 20 went bad and had to be extracted. (i
assume 20 is the one closest to the front).
So now I have a space of 3.. #17 has a partitioned bridge.

Triclosan Study Not Relevant To Toothpaste
Recent news reports, interpreting a new study on chlorine disinfection
in water treatment plants, have also called into question the safety of
some household products that contain triclosan, including toothpaste.

New crown chipped05 May 2005 17:46 GMT43
I got a crown over my back molar two weeks ago and a large piece
chipped off when chewing something not hard at all.  A couple of
questions, how hard is it to remove and replace a crown, and is the
dentist who did the work responsible for making it good at their cost?
