Is this good practice?19 May 2005 20:45 GMT6
I have a new dentist who seems quite good--compassionate, knowledgeable,

Yesterday I went for a cleaning and checkup, and told the hygienist about
one cavity I was aware of. The hygienist took x-rays and did the cleaning.
6-year old with hypoplastic first molars19 May 2005 20:41 GMT22
My 6-year-old son had his regular checkup with the pediatric dentist
today.  To my surprise, the dentist told me that his first molars were
hypoplastic and undercalcified.  There is actually a small cavity in
one of them.  He said that the enamel is weak and pitted.  The teeth
sealants19 May 2005 18:11 GMT12
My six year old just had sealants put on his molars. He has broken out into
a rash on the outside of the cheeks. My dentist doesn't think it relates
because it is on the outside rather than in his mouth. HOwever, he does
break out on his cheeks when he eats something he is allergic ...

How can I deal with this problem?  It makes me very self ...

A Dental discount plan charges dental patients a yearly fee for listing
rates and for listing Dentists. As far as I know, no rate plan money
goes to the dentist from the plan.
When a person signs up for a plan, the dentist agrees to charge the

My crown troubles19 May 2005 11:53 GMT12
It was fitted on 24th March and the dentist told me to come back after

Long, long ago in a country far, far away, some scientists stumbled
upon a form of general anaesthesia that they induced electronically.  I
think it was discovered in Russia by Neurologists long before the
collapse of the Iron Curtain.  As I recall, this general anaesthesia

NTI isn't working--alternatives?18 May 2005 13:53 GMT10
I recently heard about the NTI and had one made, thinking it would really
help with my chronic headaches, and it has.  I wasn't thinking too much
about protecting my teeth until a few months later, when I discovered that
I cracked a tooth clenching/grinding.  (Should have listened ...
