toxic candy?14 Apr 2005 19:45 GMT13
Recently I decided to learn why, when I eat some kinds of
candy, such as Dots and Jujufruits, my gums immediately

Suddenly I need 6 Crowns?14 Apr 2005 02:37 GMT6
Recently I relocated from NJ to Arizona. I had been going to my dentist
in NJ for 10 years & he never tried to "sell" me anything. A very large
filling(25 years old) fell out of one of my molars & took half the tooth
with it. So off I go to a new dentist in Arizona. I assumed ...

I am 22 and had all four wisdom teeth (impacted, not infected at the
time) removed by an oral surgeon 2.5 months ago. First, for anyone
searching these archives -- be aware that dentists seem to underplay the
risk and seriousness of extractions. This long after my surgery I am
Localised periodontitis13 Apr 2005 19:41 GMT15
A routine X-ray shows localised periodontitis under one of the roots of a
molar. I don't feel any pain when biting with the molar. Is there any cause
for concern? The dentist recommended a root canal for the tooth.

Implant and Restorative Work following it13 Apr 2005 18:30 GMT7
I have a tooth implant (lower right molar - last tooth.) Today I went
to my regular dentist to finally be fitted for a crown. He shocked me
when he said, "A crown will not fit there. There is no clearance for a
tooth". I asked him what the solution was. After conferring by phone

Help- my 11 year old has 7 new cavities in the past 6 months!!! I

Disappearing Nesbitt Bridge [longish tale]13 Apr 2005 11:13 GMT100
My wife has had a Nesbitt bridge for 20 years.  Never lost or broken.  I
liked the simple technology so much I had one made recently to replace a
lost tooth.
