Any of you ever seen the movie "The Dentist"?29 Apr 2005 16:24 GMT6
Or, at least I think that's what it's called... it's about a psycho
dentist who goes crazy and can't stand the plaque/tartar/gingivitis
build-up he's seeing on his patients' teeth, and he basically ties them
up in the dentist chair and pull all their teeth out lol a horror movie
OT: Exploding crows29 Apr 2005 09:30 GMT3
BERLIN - Whats making toads puff up and explode in northern Europe? More
than 1,000 toad corpses have been found at a pond in an upscale
neighborhood in Hamburg and over the border in Denmark after bloating
and bursting.
Root Canal work done when not needed?28 Apr 2005 19:43 GMT38
Recently my wife had a root canal done which has been completed.
The question is we just switched dentist and after they reviewed the
xray's from the previous dentist they stated that root canals were
never needed. So, I decided to contact another dentist in the area and
Future dentist, silly question28 Apr 2005 18:39 GMT8
Hello dentists,
In a couple years I hope to be going to dental school. (I'm presently
in my 30's and doing a career change.) I have lots of questions, and
this one is silly but I'm very curious about it.
Laser Whitening/Home Bleaching Concerns28 Apr 2005 17:13 GMT1
I have minor yellow teeth, and I'd like to restore my confidence by
getting them whitened. How realistic should my expectations be if I
undergo laser whitening? I've had custom fitted trays made from the
dentist for at home whitening using excel turboz but I stopped using
More Gum redness than usual around abutments?28 Apr 2005 13:54 GMT8
I've been very busy this past month or so, and I haven't probably
brushed my teeth at night as well I should have, but I'm trying to get
back into brushing them for a longer time and just plain doing a better
job at night.  Anyway, one of the reasons I'm slightly concerned is
Question about numbing27 Apr 2005 16:39 GMT11
Hello. Like most people, I understand and appreciate the numbing
injections for dental work! However, I am wondering why it is neccessary
to be numb for sooooo long afterwards? For example, a simple extraction
can take about 10 minutes - why am I numb for 5 hours after? I

Fluoride treatments26 Apr 2005 19:14 GMT25
Hi, I'm in Tobago and I apologize in advance if I'm hitting a nerve
(ooh, terrible, unintended dental pun), but I'm working out of an
Internet cafe and I don't have time to research whether this has been
answered before.

Dental bridge problem26 Apr 2005 18:21 GMT9
I had a bridge ''installed'' about 10 years ago. (starts at tooth #12, no
tooth #13 & ends at tooth  #14) Recently I've noticed that when I bite on
anything with tooth # 12, it feels like that tooth is 'shifting'....like the
bridge that sits on that particular tooth isn't ...
Dry Socket Question26 Apr 2005 16:59 GMT4
I had my #19 extracted today.  I had a clot there earlier, and now it
is gone.  What is there is white but soft, is this possibly some sort
of gauze the dentist or hygenist stuffed in the socket?  If it is going
to be dry socket, how long before I should start experiencing the gut
Is This The Dentist's Fault?26 Apr 2005 14:21 GMT80
I went to a new dentist after not seeing one for about 2 years. I always
brushed well and flossed. He examined me and probed and scraped around a
bit, took ex-rays,panorex etc.
I think it was about 2 months later when I noticed some roughness when I

My perio advised against an immediate denture. He said that
one would press the lower gum downward and outward and may
affect the implants. He advised that a temporary denture
