Did I get a sloppy crown prep?05 Jan 2005 19:05 GMT9
I am a male in my late 40's in good general health.  I have about a
half-dozen fillings and an old crown on a lower molar.  Recently a
corner broke off another molar.
I had the crown prep about a week ago, and the crown is supposed to be

Bonded tooth keeps breaking off05 Jan 2005 10:47 GMT10
I have a front tooth with a discoloration that occurred when I was very
young. My dentist bonded it about a month ago with a "white filling."
After a week and half or so, the edge cracked off in my sleep. I went
back and had it redone, but two weeks later, it broke again in the same
denture-top plate05 Jan 2005 02:08 GMT4
I had the top plate made, then moved the next day from PA to Florida. The
plate sort of fits and stays in place, IF I USE A TON OF THAT AWFUL CEMENT.
My question is, is there anything a dentist here can do to make the plate
fit without the goo? Is it even possible? I'm looking to ...
Dental School Admission for Nontraditional students03 Jan 2005 19:25 GMT5
I'm almost done with the prerequisite courses for dental school.  Since
I'm a Texas resident I'm hoping to attend one of the three dental
schools in Texas.  I was wondering if anyone in this group has any
knowledge on how a nontraditional student's application is evaluated in

Best toothpaste for canker sores?03 Jan 2005 17:29 GMT2
I'm either going to buy the Biotene or the Rembrandt designed specifically
for canker sores (both don't have SLS, although the Biotene is for "dry
mouth", which I don't have).  They're both about the same price, can anyone
recommend one over the other?  Thanks.
Post root canal tooth sensitivity03 Jan 2005 08:50 GMT5
Hello all, it's Weezie again. Back with yet another tooth concern. I
just had my root canal finished on Tuesday and capped with a temporary
crown, awaiting the permanent one which will be done in two weeks. My
question is, should that "dead" tooth still be sensitive to sweets? It
Question about amalgams03 Jan 2005 04:31 GMT43
I have ten amalgams that have been there for about twenty years.
Although I have no problems with the amalgams, I have heard that they
release mercury and it would be best to have them removed and replaced
with the newer composite material. My dentist says that the risk is
Silver Filling Stains Nightguard?03 Jan 2005 04:17 GMT2
My clear nightguard has turned black in the place it rests on a silver

Abscess?03 Jan 2005 04:13 GMT8
Back in September I had toothache in a tooth which I had filled
about 3 years ago. It lasted about a week and then went away. Since I am not
registered with a dentist and nowhere near me are taking on patience, I just
kinda hoped the pain wouldn't come back.
Crown poorly done. 2nd opinion dentist says it needs to be redone. What to do now?03 Jan 2005 04:01 GMT25
Crown on a first molar. The first crown did not fit, was sent back to
lab.
When the crown was first put in I asked if the margins were fine. The
answer was 'yes'. (I knew at the time that margins need to be correct
Feliz A?o Nuevo mis amigos,  New Theory about JME v. JD02 Jan 2005 14:04 GMT27
New theory, but just read through it.
Will only take a minute.
It may be way out there but it is entirely possible
that JME and JD are one and the same.
