Wisdom teeth and running28 Dec 2004 03:09 GMT4
I had four wisdom teeth extracted under local anaesthetic on Wednesday (24
y/o male, non-smoker.)  The pain seems to be receding and I am following all
of my postoperative instructions (salt-water rinsing, chlorhexidine rinsing
etc.)  I hope to start running again soon, and my oral ...

Conventional thinking on amalgams27 Dec 2004 22:35 GMT5
Dr. Tony B loves stories like these :-) I was recently traveling on business
and Chicago O'hare airport. with a couple of hours to kill I had a couple of
beers at the bar and shooting the breeze with patrons. Ends up that the guy
next to me was an ER physycian who had been diagnosed ...
Teeth Transplants, implants27 Dec 2004 17:33 GMT3
Both my daughter and I have teeth issues.
She has molar crowding and needs some teeth taken out while I have some
very back teeth that are too damaged to be kept in.
We were joking that I could use her good teeth.
Root Canal Retreatment OR Extraction ???27 Dec 2004 17:29 GMT26
Soon, I'm planning to undergo root canal re-treatment in two cases
because the X-ray indicates inflammation next to the end of the canals.
The original treatment took place about 7 years ago.
Is there a good chance (>80%) that the inflammation / bacterial
Fixed bridgework and gray lines at the gumline27 Dec 2004 16:34 GMT12
I have fixed bridgework that is about 10 years old in the top of my
mouth.  I probably haven't paid as much attention to my teeth as I
should have in the past (only 23), so these might have been there all
along, but there are now thin, barely visible gray lines on the top of
GOT my DEA renewal form.27 Dec 2004 15:46 GMT22
Man, they're asking almost as much as my license fee for this.  I'm earning
below poverty level this year and gotta pay malpractice and all that other
junk like CE.  I almost couldn't find the fee; you can hardly see it on the
form.
Quality of Service vs. Insuarance Plans27 Dec 2004 15:18 GMT32
Both  dentists who I have gone to had excellent reputations.  Neither
accepted any kind of dental insurance.  I was told by both that if they
contracted with cigna or aetna etc. that they could not afford to provide
the quality of skill or lab work.

Cheers, My Friends26 Dec 2004 23:24 GMT7
We're leaving shortly for the Mother In Law's, and I may not be
connected down there (there's not much room), although Roy told me that
there's a possibility...
Anyways, I want to wish all a Merry Xmas, happy New Year, and 'until we

SDI products26 Dec 2004 12:59 GMT1
My Bisco resins are slowly coming to an end and the dental supplier in
my area doesn't carry them. I've been  thinking of switching to SDI and
am particularly interested in their Rok (no doubt Stovie will tell me
to use Heliomolar instead), Wave, and the Riva GI capsules. Anyone had
