What's your advice on this problem?31 Dec 2004 07:16 GMT11
One of my bottom back molars needed a filling near the gum line.  After that
it was very temperature sensitive.  After a few months, the problem still was
there, so I went back to the dentist, and he replaced the filling, but there
was no change in symptoms.  I waited many months ...

Pulp Cap Questions30 Dec 2004 20:32 GMT1
Q.
Does "2 out of 5 times it works" refer to mechanical exposures only,
or both carious and mechanical exposures? I'm assuming it's 2 out of 5
times when direct pulp capping is a viable alternative?

corn-free sodium fluoride mouthwash?30 Dec 2004 15:37 GMT9
Can one get anticavity NaF mouthwash that is corn-free?
I don't know if just getting sodium fluoride and mixing a certain amount
into water would have the same effect.  There are lots of ingredients in
the ACT anticavity rinse and maybe some of them are sticky so the NaF
Tooth sensitive to cold30 Dec 2004 15:10 GMT10
I wonder if anyone can give me any advice on a tooth that is extremely
sensitive to cold? I have seen a dentist who told me he could not see
any cavity or cracks in the tooth. The tooth hasn't had any fillings or
work done it.

Q about "cosmetic certified" dentist29 Dec 2004 16:03 GMT7
I'm thinking about seeing a dentist who is certified in cosmetic dentistry.
But she charges $275 just for the first visit (includes xrays). Is this fee
reasonable for cosmetic dentistry? I have no idea.

Thanks group for your great input in this forum, it helped me so much.  Just
had my wisdom tooth extracted out recently and I'd like to ask:  Is there
any advise on preservation of such extracted bone at home, formalin or other
solutions!? Or just I can keep it as it is over years ...
Safety procedures generally used when removing mercury amalgams29 Dec 2004 01:25 GMT33
My purpose in posting this is not to try to incite a debate about
mercury amalgam safety.  I assume this group gets PLENTY of that.  Even
so, this will probably make me look neurotic, but really I'm just
curious about what most dentists do and will most likely not even be
