pH-low erosion with abrasion10 Nov 2004 01:42 GMT12
Commonly, patients are told to brush not after breakfast but before. That is
to say, first thing in the morning. The rationale is that acidic foods are
common in the breakfast routine and that the demineralization of the tooth
surface sets the stage for erosion, especially when ...
From the intraoral camera to the software... How fast is it?09 Nov 2004 22:02 GMT7
I'm thinking of bying an intraoral camera which connects to PC via USB.
I was wondering... does this mean that I will be able to Import - for
example - to Adobe Photoshop "on the fly" (as I do when I use my scanner
or my webcam) or will I have to (1) capture and save and -then- ...

Recurring frenum problem (between top front teeth)09 Nov 2004 17:21 GMT7
I keep having trouble with the tissue between and behind my two upper front
teeth, called the "frenum". Dentists don't seem to react much about it and it
usually goes away after several days. Things like potato chips, cereals, etc.,
will poke into it and cause considerable swelling ...
Cracked tooth: filling or crown which way to go??09 Nov 2004 15:31 GMT17
I have a couple of questions I will try to be brief...
Lastweek I went to have some dental work, A molar on the lower left of my mouth
had a very old filling and a small piece of tooth cracked off.
Then I noticed I had some more pain which was 2 hair line cracks in an upper
Disciplined ortho09 Nov 2004 13:49 GMT5
I have started my orthodontic treatment with an orthodontist. Later I
found out that he has been diciplined on several cases for malpractice
& using non-liscensed assistants.
I blamed myself by not doing my homework very well. At the same time,
dental school lab09 Nov 2004 13:44 GMT7
I see various dental faculty at our local college.  One DDS advised he
does not use labs in the school for 'partials'.  He "prefers to chose
his own lab". Is there a standard for dental school labs?  Are they
rated or licensed?  I thought faculty would be "the very best"
Invisilign referral in MI.?09 Nov 2004 04:54 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone had any referrences in the
Hartland/Brighton/Howell area of Michigan?  I am interested in seeing
if I may be a candidate for this process or if standard braces are the
best for me.
Interviews09 Nov 2004 04:15 GMT7
I'm applying to dental school for the upcoming fall and have just
started receiving interview requests.  This is probably late because
even though I turned in my application in August, I was remiss in
sending out application fees until October.  Anyway, is there any

collecting extracted teeth09 Nov 2004 02:15 GMT14
I'm a sculpure student from Canada on exchange doing postgraduate
studies at the Kyoto City University of the arts in Japan. I'm trying
to collect about a dozen or so examples of extracted teeth for my
work. I'm having a hard time finding them in Japan, so I've expanded
Consultation with Dentist09 Nov 2004 02:09 GMT96
I'm back :p.
Well, I just got back from my dentist's office.  Last week they gave me
some super-fluoride toothpaste & mouthrinse, told me to brush 3 times a
day.  I did that.  1 week has passed.
