If a tooth went untreated and became infected and that infection spread, would I be best to see an MD first or a Dentist to take care of the source of the infection? After not getting a molar removed it has broken the tooth in front of it, and

I'm a 36-year-old female who had a recurrance of a benign plexiform ameloblastoma of the right mandible. At the beginning of Sept, I had an operation to remove the tumor from my right mandible, plus a 1 cm margin.
