Bone "above" teeth "protruding"09 Sep 2004 20:46 GMT13
Lately I've noticed that the bone above my upper teeth (I guess this
is called the alveolus) is jutting out more than it seems like it
should.  I can actually see kind of a white ridge above the back teeth
on both sides.  I'm really worried about this even though it doesn't
Is ultrasonic scaler safe?09 Sep 2004 20:44 GMT5
I just got a new dentist and for the first time in my life my teeth were
cleaned with an ultrasonic scaler in conjuction to hand implements.
My old dentist never used an ultrasonic scaler, just hand picks.
Is the ultrasonic scaler completely safe to be used every 6 months on my

She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he

can I avoid rct for this tooth?09 Sep 2004 16:39 GMT3
I'm about to see a dentist about a cracked molar, and if possible,
would like to avoid having root-canals done, as I know they can
sometimes fail. If I descibe all the symptoms, perhaps I could have a
few opinions on how bad things are likely to be?

Need Help Local prob ... is Halcion the answer??09 Sep 2004 13:53 GMT46
I have very deep anxiety with dentistry... I still force myself to go,
and when I have needed work, I have insisted on the use of nitrous
oxide.  My fear deals mainly with the needle.  I won't let them give me
local.... at all!  Because of this, I suffered through an appointment ...
SMD weekend09 Sep 2004 05:55 GMT8
It was so great to meet Roy and Steve in person.  We had a nice relaxing
weekend, sitting next to the pool playing dueling computers.  What a funny
sight.  The day was beautiful, hot, the kids were swimming, and we three are
trying to figure out if my computer can sign on without ...

Just wanted to say thanks for your advice yesterday (re: temporary fillings
and shooting pains). :-)  I went back to the dentist today, and he refilled
the back tooth, putting some sort of paste on the root area.  Hopefully
that should do the trick, if not then a different type ...
