Hole left by tooth extraction22 May 2004 10:46 GMT7

The elusive root resorption fairy!21 May 2004 00:34 GMT8
I just came back from an appointment with my original orthodontist to
discuss my root resorption and subsequent loss of my 4 front teeth. He
sat down with me and took a look at my impressions and xrays. He was
really nice about it and went over all of the "possibilies" of what

Fluoride Deception20 May 2004 04:42 GMT11
Just in case you haven´t heard as yet -
There´s a new book on fluoride available that is worth to be read though
it says on page XVII "Don´t blame the dentists" (a sentence I disagree

Fluorides in the environment19 May 2004 23:01 GMT2

The first chapter of it, a section on the history, is available as a pdf

I will be working in Bangkok, Thailand for 4 months and may well
require some fairly complex dental work (crowns, root canal, possible
oral surgery).  Could anyone advise me as to the general standard of
care in Bangkok, and possibly any practitioners that could be
Treatment of perio disease with Arestin. Am I getting ripped off?19 May 2004 14:29 GMT40
I was advised by my DMO dentist that I needed a "full debridement" since it
had been so long since my last cleaning. Admittedly, it's probably been over
3 years. I was told this full debridement was an aggressive cleaning below
the gum line. They said I also needed an irrigation ( ...

When probing the gingival sulcus for periodontal pockets, is it common to
underestimate?
I have an upper second molar that has to come out.  It's snug, but has
pockets of 5, 7, 8 and 9 mm.  It may have a root fracture and definitely has
Patient reviews in San Francisco Bay Area17 May 2004 18:32 GMT5
I was wondering where the site is where dentists review  their patients -
