What is z100?25 Mar 2004 06:46 GMT7
It sorta sounds like a radio station, but my dentist recently used z100
on my teeth. I guess it's a composite material. Is it good quality stuff?
Professional whitening question25 Mar 2004 06:38 GMT2
Just got back from the dentist, still no cavities for 22 years running.  I
asked him about the new cap to cover my dark gum and he was suprised that I
knew about Captek (thanks Dr. Joel).
I also talked to him about whitening my teeth and then matching my new cap
Removing a bonded FPD25 Mar 2004 06:34 GMT3
How would you remove a FPD that has been bonded? Is there an easy way?
I assume that the dentist who bonded this restoration did not follow a
good bondidng technique.

2 crowns prepared as a single unit - bad idea?24 Mar 2004 17:23 GMT15
I've just undergone preparation for two adjacent crowns UR6 and 7 and have been fitted
with a single temporary unit.    I was struck immediately by how comfortable and reliable
this arrangement felt, in particular because my UR6 which was a very old crown with RCT,
now removed and ...

Does it last, is it any good?
Any negatives?

amalgam perfectly. I have been on this DentalTown forum for some time

Amalgam or Composite?24 Mar 2004 04:21 GMT71
I'm not sure I understand the difference.  For years I have helped
dentists understand how to better manage the adminstrative end of
their practice.  Now I'm a patient and need some advice.  It seems my
insurance company won't pay for composite fillings in my posterior

Who is right?24 Mar 2004 04:13 GMT17
One dentist says I need 13 fillings, I got a second opinion 4 months later and
the second dentist says I need zero fillings.  Who is correct??
Yet another Composite / Amalgam post.23 Mar 2004 23:38 GMT93
I've got to have a few fillings done, and I'm wondering if it's worth paying
the extra for white fillings. The cost is roughly 4 times the cost of
mercury fillings.  Are the white fillings as hard wearing as amalgam ones?
What's the consensus on whether or not mercury vapour will ...

Anyone using the Statim/Scican autoclave?23 Mar 2004 20:29 GMT9
Has anyone got experiences (good or bad) with the Statim-Scican 2000 (or
5000)
cassette autoclaves? They are supposed to sterilize a bunch
of handpieces in 6 minutes.
