This is (for the moment, at least) a philosophical question:
I have many edlderly patients in this rinky-dink little practice that I
bought (summer 2001) who are missing teeth, and those posterior teeth

 To the posters here: thanks for the advice!  I had my root canal a
little less than a week ago.  Aside from the minor discomfort one
always feels when injecting novacaine, it didn't hurt a bit.  (Well,
