*That* tooth extraction in the movie 'Castaway'07 Mar 2004 02:02 GMT10
Anyone here see the movie 'Castaway' a few years back where Tom Hanks'
character knocks out his dodgy molar with an ice skate?
Now bearing in mind that this IS a movie (and as we all know,
'science' in movies isn't often based on actual fact!) would it be at

should be roughly the same (US$500 - 800.)  Is this true?
My dentist is charging me US$1,600 for the crown for my implant on #21
Florida Humor (DT)06 Mar 2004 01:41 GMT8
Six retired Floridians were playing poker in the condo clubhouse when
one of them loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops
dead at the table. Showing respect for their fallen comrade, the other
five continue playing, standing up. One of the living looks around and

does a GP working in a rural area make more or less than the average?
i would think that since there is such a shortage in rural areas,
he/she would make more...
but then again, such areas would be lowly populated, with people who
All teeth numb feeling in morning05 Mar 2004 23:15 GMT6
Not sure if this makes sense, but sometimes in the morning, all my

the are pounding like a headache and I can feel my pulse in them.
When I eat, it's as if they are not really there.  Also my lower jaw

Dental School 205 Mar 2004 17:57 GMT16
Thanks for all the info.  It both enlightened and scared me.  Did any of you
end up specializing?  I like the advice on "spending less than you make"
despite your job you can become wealthy this way.  I am concerned that my
test taking skills and basic retention are not superior ...

In December 2003 Dr. Lily created two empress veneers for me that
Re. help with Implant ...05 Mar 2004 14:22 GMT7
Gee, thanks for your empty posts.
I can't help wonder why several of you even wasted your time typing.
All I wanted was some general info from those who had an implant experience.
My doc says nothing about any risks.  And minimizes everything about the
