bonding question31 Mar 2004 23:26 GMT11
About five years ago, I had my two top front teeth bonded.  There had been a
small gap (about the width of a nickle) between the two teeth.  Ever since,
I've noticed that the two teeth are beginning to separate again, especially
over the last two years.  I could probably fit a dime ...
Routine cleanings...Where's the dentist?31 Mar 2004 23:13 GMT5
I have noticed, more often that not, that when I go to have a cleaning the
dentist is not available to check my teeth.  Is this the norm at many
offices today?  Do "cleanings" not entail a check-up by a dentist anymore?
The Dr. is either not available for whatever reason or is not ...

After reading through many of the posts on SMD it's obvious that
dental insurance companies that serve patients strike a bad chord. Is
there a list of good and bad companies from the dentist's
perespective, or do they view all insurance companies as impossible?

All hail to the group again.
Yesterday (Friday) I had a cont-ed course in Endo with the local Guru.
He is an avid Profile user and he recommends the safer GT's for the

Listerine/Oral Cancer31 Mar 2004 04:57 GMT1
I am a hygienist with years of experience...I recently worked for a doctor
(one day) that tells his patients not to use Listerine because it causes
oral cancer.  A long time ago, I did hear of this but haven't heard it again
until now.  Is there any truth to that?
Storing teeth for dental school31 Mar 2004 01:30 GMT3
What's the best way to store extracted teeth WITHOUT damaging the
integrity of them?
My school recommended 10% bleach, but I've heard that will make the
teeth useless for Endo practice...

About 4 weeks ago the gum area below a lower front (actually two to

This continued without subsiding for over 10 days, with the pain
constantly present but ebbing and flowing a bit.  I saw a dentist in
