I'm in my late 50's. This past year my blood pressure has been in the range of 140/90 to 150/95. Last year a clinic told me that I shouldn't go on blood pressure medication, and a different clinic recently told me that I should.

Had an echo and my cardiologist said everything is ok... There were "trace" mitral regurgitation" and "redundant mitral leaflets". Can somebody explain what this means.... Is the trace mitral regurgitations the same as a murmur?

I'm told I have an "atrial gallop" and that an ECG showed "nonspecific repolarization abnormalities." On another occasion, an ECG showed "normal sinus rhythm and inferolateral T-wave flattening." Should I be concerned about any of this?
