I figured it's time to check in since it's almost a year and a half
since I had my four Cypher stents implanted. The good news:
So far I'm down 66 pounds and  and down to 12.5 MG of toporol Xl (down
from 100MG's) and off Altace.  Resting heart rate: 40 bpm (used to be

My cardiologist has recommended that I have both a thallium stress test and
a CT scan of the heart, to rule out any heart problems for me. The reason
for the tests is that my brother, 3 yrs older than me at 58,  recently had a
heart attack and subsequently had triple bypass ...

I was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy in 10/2004 with an EF between 12 - 16.
Over the last two years, my EF has gotten as high as 30 (2/2006), but has
gone back down to 20.  I have been working up until a couple of weeks ago,
but my fatigue and dyspnea have been gradually progressing ...
