Is it good to take Niacin 50 mg on a long term basis to avoid

TC - 172 , HDL - 40 , LDL - 97 and TG - 175 . The doctor says
that my LDL should drop down to 70 and advised me Zocor 10 mg .
Does waxy become calcified?08 Oct 2005 20:02 GMT4
When I had my MI I was told the blockage was calcified. I asked what the
significance of this was. They said they didn't know. I was told some
people have a waxy substance and some are calcified. Does anyone know if
a waxy substance turns into calcium?

A friend had a pacemaker fitted about 14 months ago, at the same time he was
prescribed Amiodarone. He has asked me to enquire as to why he should be
taking a drug to increase his heart rate when he has a pacemaker to reduce
it.

Per testimony in the Vioxx trial, Merck and the FDA fought for TWO YEARS
over label warnings that Vioxx could cause heart attack and stroke.
