Should I be concerned?  (Heart palpitations)19 Jun 2005 12:25 GMT7
I am 30 years old, in pretty good health.
I do have MVP, but my doctor said there is no backwash, so I do not
take antibiotics.

I have had lots of test and my cardiologist tells me there are two
reasons for my breathlessness:
1. Since my op. to replace my mitral valve in 1997, my heart muscle does

Resting Heart Rate17 Jun 2005 23:54 GMT3
I have worn my Polar heart rate monitor overnight several nights in a
row and plotted my heart rate. It averages 68-69 each time, but seems

variation beats, a few minutes of high variability beats, then a step

I'll drop my arachidonic acid and n-3 pufa intake even more...

Niacin + other B vitamins?16 Jun 2005 07:22 GMT13
I have CAD and, in the wake an angioplasty, I've been taking high-dose
(1000 mg) niacin + 40mg lovastatin, in the form of Advicor, to control
my cholesterol.  It works great, but I've been reading that one
shouldn't supplement just one B vitamin without supplementing them
Re: Statins/PE?16 Jun 2005 03:59 GMT18
Eating my words here.  Today's cholesterol is 284.  So it's back on Zocor.
I don't like  it, but my feelings are inconsequential.

My Zetia Experience15 Jun 2005 23:35 GMT8
I am a 56-year old former competition ballroom dancer who had a
quadruple bypass about five years ago. After the surgery, my doctor put
me on Pravachol, which I tolerated well for about two years. However,
after about two years I began to notice uncharacteristic cramping and

Reduced Cholesterol Using Advicor & Ayurvedic Medicine15 Jun 2005 19:02 GMT2
I would like to share my experience with reducing cholesterol.  I'm 30
yrs old and there is no family history of cholesterol in our family.
Three months ago I was diagnosed with high levels of cholesterol. These
were my results:
Valsartan v Lisinopril15 Jun 2005 11:23 GMT1
My doctor has suggested that I change from Lisinopril to Valsartan in
an attempt to solve a problem with skin eruption and persistent sore
throat which he thinks may be as a result of being on Lisinopril (40mg
daily) for some years. I am a bit scared that my BP might not be
3-D heart ultrasound test 15 Jun 2005 11:23 GMT1
I read an article recently about a new 3-D heart ultrasound test called
iE33.   Does anyone have any experience with this test?   Is it an
appropriate test to determine the presence and amount of CAD?
                                                       Thanks in advance,
