In recent years when I'm running or mountain hiking, sometimes my left arm will get the sensation of "going asleep" (as if from lack of circulation). Sometimes after the exercise the left arm will also be slightly "palsied" (slightly unresponsive and shaky).

Finally went to the doctor yesterday. Got an EKG, doctor took my blood pressure (120/80). He wants me to come back next week or an Echo and a Holter monitor. Then the week after for a stress test.

Thousands of clinical trials in cardiology. Day by day, the numbers are increasing and all the available words in the dictionaries are being used as acronyms for these trials. Is it just a boom or is there a real necessity for these studies to be carried out in such huge numbers?

Is it correct that one of the symptoms that cardiologist look for is when diagnosing heart disease is to look at the patients finger nails to see if they are dished or spoon shape nails.I cant see how this can mean anything, but perhaps someone can tell me if i am correct . ...
