I recently bought an Omron HEM 705CP blood pressure monitor. I have
never checked my own BP, but get it checked by my dentist once a year.
At the dentist, I always get readings of 120/80 or very close to that.
My new Omron was consistently giving readings of around 100 over around

What do you mean? is the diastolic reading not true? How is it calculated?
is it based on your heart beat?

My girlfriend was diagnosed around the same time for both hypertension
and hypothyroidism.  She has been taking Atenolol (25 mg) for
hypertension and Synthroid (25 mcg, I think) for Hypertension for about
