Cardiovascular disease and alcohol20 Jan 2005 02:28 GMT4
I've been reading some Google postings indicating drinking a couple
beers a day is good for one's heart. I have cardiovascular disease
and have been advised to excercise and reduce fat intake, but nothing
was said about beer. I'm wondering how much benefit there is in

How do you know if you have A-Fib18 Jan 2005 20:14 GMT9
Short of going to ER (and being normal by the time you got there) or doing a
Holter on the chance you'd catch it, how does a fairly knowledgable person know
if they are having an episode of atril fibrillation? If the ventricles are
beating basically normally, and you have a "funny ...
vitamin e18 Jan 2005 16:07 GMT4
I have been taking vitamin e (400) now for about three years. Now I see
there is a study and it seems reputable that says vitamin e makes you 10
times more susceptible to heart problems then those who don't take it. Any
thoughts?

Ectopic heart beats disappearing...18 Jan 2005 04:32 GMT3
Due to a flag in a pilot's license medical (VE's and 110 ms QRS) I had to
see a cardiologist, who had a holter monitor put on me for 24 hours. 120,000
heartbeats later, with 10% ectopic occurring during rest periods only (not
when active). "A little high", he said...

Serum cholesterol... How fast does what you eat affect levels?18 Jan 2005 04:32 GMT3
If someone with elevated readings started being very careful about
consuming eggs, red meat etc, how long would it take before measurable

Atrial Fibrillation severely worsened by drug residues in food18 Jan 2005 00:25 GMT1
LASALOCID (a veterinary residue in eggs and poultry) is extremely
cardio-toxic. It will greatly exacerbate atrial fibrillation. If you
suffer from atrial fibrillation then stop eating eggs or poultry
immediately. It may take several months to rid your system of this poison.
