A new, CORRECT evolutionary theory13 Dec 2004 01:11 GMT9
The Darwinian theory of evolution and the genetic theory of evolution
are inadequate to describe what really happens in evolution.
Let me put it this way. If you want to know how to repair a car, it
helps to know how it the car is put together. Likewise, if you want to
Lub has purr at times13 Dec 2004 00:59 GMT1
I was interested in how my heart sounded during times when I had an irregular
pulse. When I was experiencing this irregularity (missed beats) the lub sounded
kind of like a cat purring. When my rhythm is normal, the lub is just a thud.
Could this be atrial fibrillation? I've had ...
high dose folate & breast cancer12 Dec 2004 23:25 GMT13
Is folate supplementation, ie) to lower homocysteine levels, dangerous

only a disease of women.

how long does it take?12 Dec 2004 18:05 GMT2
Can anyone tell me how long it takes to see a noticeable change in
cholesterol levels after a diet change, or a drug change (lowering,
different statin, etc), or exercise change? I'll include stopping smoking as
a change, though in my case it's already done.
"Significant" change on my ECG ?12 Dec 2004 18:05 GMT3
Anybody want to see if they can identify a "Significant" change on my ECG ?
I was recently admitted to my local ED with severe cheat pain, very low BP
and Fainting, vomiting and dizziness. I was given Diamorphine, Isoket and a
thrombilising drug (streptokinase(?) I think) as well as ...

Niacin?12 Dec 2004 00:32 GMT10
I don't care who answer my question, Christians, Jews, Devil worshippers,
just want to know if Niacin would help me with my cholesterol, and if yes,
how much.
Thank you.
Kawasaki Disease11 Dec 2004 21:41 GMT2
My son,who is 15 months old, was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease Nov.3 2004.
He has been having fevers, he has thrown up and has had diarrea.  The flue
has been going around in our area, so its difficult to say if its that or if
its related to the Kawasaki's. Im concerned that ...

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Metabolic syndrome -- the cluster of symptoms

Some studies about diets in lowering cholesterol11 Dec 2004 17:06 GMT26
Impressive results in the reduction of cholesterol by diet alone.

And what about the American community? Have you ever taken a BOEING in
economy class? BOEING does not solely cater to midgets. I'm sure the size of
the seats was NOT dictated by the average American butt width, but by
max.money thinking. Look around you, first, before talking about ...
The methylxanthines (alkaloids in coffee, etc.) are ANNOYING!11 Dec 2004 09:48 GMT17
...In times when you don't want them (which is 99.9% of the time for me, as
I am basically a non-drug/alcohol/tobacco/caffeine user - i.e., I only eat
food and beverages with no mind-altering properties) that is.
Basically I am really annoyed how often I have to _specifically check_ ...
Back on statin....11 Dec 2004 01:17 GMT10
I stopped taking Pravachol last November because of elevated SGPT. After no
clear reason was found for the mild elevation my doctor, cardio and
gastroenterologist agreed that I could go back on the statin.
I resumed Pravachol 40mg approx. 8 weeks ago. I had bloodwork just before
What is the real link between heart problems and diabetes?10 Dec 2004 13:00 GMT49
Does anyone have a description of why diabetes and heart disease are linked? I
don't understand the physical mechanisms involved. It seems before we buy into
having to get our LDLs < 70 this should be clear.
If i have good BS control as defined in these groups, does that matter at ...
