Given that the FDA approved CRESTOR, which is now under the gun in Senate hearings, FDA investigations, and Harvard Medical School reports, what is so special about FDA approved NIACIN, over another PILL, that makes the same claims, and is manufactured by a reputable manufacturer?

My GP took me off Atenolol and put me on 25mg of Hydrochlorot 2 days ago. My pulse rate has skyrocketed from around 70 to the 130's!!! Is this just my body adjusting to the change in meds or is something going wrong here??

Heart disease is hereditary. That is generally accepted. However...... High cholsterlol, weight, smoking, lack of excercise etc have nothing to do with increasing the risk.
