Bayer tablets- how many19 Oct 2004 22:21 GMT4
How many Bayer tablets should one take? The instructions were 4-6
every 4 hours. Would 2 every night be fine?
Suppose you're taking Lipitor also, any problems?
Thanks
Do I Have a Weak Heart?19 Oct 2004 15:24 GMT2
I'm a man 6 feet and now 190, overweight. I had weighed 270 a year ago, and am
on a slow easy diet --mainly cutting out sweets, drinks, fats, excess pastries.
And, I do very VERY mild exercise.
My blood pressure is in the range 100 over 60, sometimes settling around 90
Salt Sub and ARB's19 Oct 2004 13:55 GMT1
How significant is the "warning" about K+ supplements and ARB hypotensives. I'm
a relatively healthy 40 y/o who takes 80 mg of Micardis. I enjoy Nu-Salt in my
salads... and a pretty generous amount on my home made popcorn. I feel the
added potassium is beneficial but have heard ...

Question about sodium19 Oct 2004 03:47 GMT3
My husband had bypass surgery two months ago.  The nutritionist said
he should watch his saturated fats and keep sodium to 2 gm a day.
I understand the need to watch the fats but I'm not sure about the
sodium.  My husband does not and never has had high blood pressure.

Conventional vs Alternative Medicine17 Oct 2004 09:31 GMT15
Could anyone enlighten me on the difference between 'conventional' and
'alternative or traditional' medicine?  Where does aspirin fall?  Is
it a 'conventional' medicine or 'traditional'?

NIASPAN16 Oct 2004 23:27 GMT3
I am taking Lipitor daily but my doctor prescribed Niaspan, in addition to
Lipitor. The two of those meds is costing quite a bit of money each month. I
would like to stay on the Lipitor and drop the Niaspan. Its strictly my
doctor's decision. However, what is the conventional wisdom ...

Does accupuncture help?16 Oct 2004 21:01 GMT4
Does accupuncture help in treating this and that?
The answer to the above question should depend, in my view, on *WHO*
is performing it. A question of a similar nature could have been
asked:"Does a GP know how to control one's high blood pressure?"

Yes this is what I want: simplicity. The way I look at it, with my
