I see that" Doe" is saying that grapefruit  can react with drugs  like
amiodarone and other cardiac medication to increase the dose. now as I am on
this drug and others for arrhythmia ,enlarged heart, and leaking valves
should I question the pharmacist or cardiac specialist next ...

I have been taking Agrrenox since a stroke.  I was told that this
medicine was to thin my blood.  I am seeing a doctor in a few days,
and like to check how thin or thick my blood is.  What's the name of
the test?  What's the standard reading?

My 74 year old diabetic mother had an angioplasty operation 13 months
ago, after a heart attack. She was 'given' a Cypher stent in his RCA, to
treat a 100%  blocked artery. Afterwards, she was placed on lipitor,
aspirin, lopressor and plavix.

In 1983 my father had  this surgery and we were sitting around talking
the other day and he mentioned that the surgery has a 15-20 lifespan.

I've been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (3-4). I have no clue what
the numbers mean, it's what my doctor wrote down on my diagnostic form.
I've had severe edema for several weeks, gained 35 lbs in about a month.
Before the CHF I had the long known and understood diagnosis ...

I did have high blood pressure (140/100), and for about 4 weeks I was taking
25mg of Atenolol (a beta blocker) per day.   It was 2 weeks ago today since
I
took my last tablet.  My BP is now down to 125/80 and is staying there
