Query about Long QT30 Sep 2004 15:31 GMT4
I do have high C-Reactive Protien for long time, but also have lupus,
sjogrens, and some other stuff to deal with too, but this new thing
cause dizzy, tingling, light numbness on left side, also sick to my
stomach. <perhaps that was a TIA> too much all at once.
antiarrhythmic drug use: limitations30 Sep 2004 14:14 GMT9
"The high burden of comorbid disease and concomitant drug use in a
large proportion of patients with AF limits the suitability of existing
antiarrhythmic drugs. Over one-third of patients with new-onset AF
received antiarrhythmic drugs despite the presence of contraindications
Heart Rate Differences30 Sep 2004 12:42 GMT3
Just curious -I just had a Resting Echo done this afternoon and my
heart rate was 63-70bpm.  However, in the waiting room before the
echo, my pulse was around 80bpm.  Which is accurate, the Echo machine
or my pulse rate at the wrist?
Question about echo report30 Sep 2004 07:27 GMT1
My son is 3 years old.. we'll be seeing his cardiologist in November. The
cardiologist spoke to me on the phone and was really happy about the
results, it's an improvement over the last exam.. but I have a few questions
until we see him in November:
atrial fibrillation: better use, better drugs or ablation randomized trial29 Sep 2004 16:00 GMT1
"There is hope for drug therapy that targets the atria without risk of
adverse effects on the ventricles and that prevents AF at the level of
substrate development. A serious look needs to be taken at the
possibility that ablation approaches may be better choices for many

Hi all! Is there even such a thing as normal Urinary Output, if so,
what is it? For example, I drank 280 oz. of fluid in 24 hours -- I
urinated 178 oz. I had a moderate workout program, but barely
perspire. What happens to that other 102 oz.??
Heart problems or panic attack?29 Sep 2004 03:45 GMT9
I cant tell if I am having heart problems or anxiety problems. ABout a
month ago I was not feeling right and wore a 24 hour monitor. It
showed I had 31 "short run" svt's. I was refered to a cardiologist.
Cardioloigst had me wear another 24 hour monitor and do a stress test.

What drug to take to dilute thick blood?28 Sep 2004 23:31 GMT2
A friend of mine, female, is now 55. Her blood is thick, and her right
hand, legs and feet feel numb.
It appears that she eats a lot of eggs with yolks included. I
therefore suggested that she might have taken in too much cholesterol

Conclusion  Among individuals aged 70 to 90 years, adherence to a
Mediterranean diet and healthful lifestyle is associated with a more
than 50% lower rate of all-causes and cause-specific mortality.
More praise for Mediterranean style diets. Zee

BP drop after activity28 Sep 2004 19:06 GMT2
When I measure my BP at home, I typically get 160/100, which I
consider too high.  However, when my PCP takes my BP in the office, he
typically gets 145/85, which he considers "acceptable".  (My BP has
gone up in the last year due to NSAIDs taken for treatment of
