Both IL2 and Interferon are considered highly toxic. I understand that there are severe "flu like" symptoms, and the possibility of triggering autoimmune disorders. What are the other long-term effects of these drugs? Do they damage the system like chemotherapy? Thanks.

I recently had my routine physical. Got a barrage of blood tests. My doctor said all was fine. However, upon looking at my copy of the test results, the hematocrit was 40.9. Normal is 42-48. Should I be concerned?

I don't know what it is, I take Rob in for his chemo, and as soon as he's hooked up to the IVs, I fall asleep. Four hours later, he's fed (a courtesy for the patients, care givers fend for themselves), rested, unhooked from the IVs and I take him home.
