2 months ago my Onc saw "something" in my cerebellum.  Probably scar tissue from
my first brain mets. Follow-up MRI last week showed no change in the 5 mm
whatever it is. He is sending the pictures to SF and Stanford for 2nd &3rd
opinions.  Meanwhile, I am approaching my 5 yr. ...

Can a glioma be diagnosed without a biopsy?
If the answer is no, then does that mean Senator Kennedy had a biopsy
of his brain? Doesn't that require surgically going through the skull
to do the biopsy?

Hi all, I'm trying to find out how bad my sisters situation is.  She was
diagnosed with melanoma several months ago.  They removed a rather large
area from her back.  I guess it was rather deep.  And when they tested her
lymph nodes, they found a microscopic amount of the cancer.  ...

Normally, I wouldn't even post this, but with the predominance of
trash on asc lately, one relevant post improves S/N.
I had my regular (3 mo) onc visit recently, and all is well.  No scan,
so no big deal, but it's still nice to be told I'm doing well.  Also,
