Pancreatic cancer and bloodwork CA1622 Feb 2007 16:13 GMT1
My elderly aunt was tentatively DXed with pancreatic cancer about 6
months ago because of a spot on her pancreas revealed by a scan. She had
lost a lot of weight. They did no biopsy at the time because she is
frail. She just decided if it was cancer to opt for palliative care.

I've told this group about my 76 year old father who has battled
(stage 3) esophageal cancer since last spring. He had surgery, chemo
and radiation. He had his last round of chemo in September and it
wasn't until last week that they gave him another full body PET

Depression? What do I do?21 Feb 2007 11:07 GMT92
Here I am again asking questions. Although my husband is not being grumpy, I
sense a depression in him.
If he was grouchy, I would understand, if he wanted to scream, I would
understand that too, but he doesn't do either. I don't know what to do for

CPT-11 irinitican question corrected19 Feb 2007 18:54 GMT1
Hi,
As you may know I just started 2nd line chemo of CPT-11 or irinatican
last wednesday and almost every possible side effect hit me within first
half hour or so of dosing. Most went away by second day including a
Lump in Roof of Mouth19 Feb 2007 13:32 GMT14
OK, I know better than to ask for a cyber diagnosis or reassurance, but I
have some specifics that may indicate something.
It appeared very suddenly. One minute I was unaware of it & then there it
was!  It is about 1/2" in diameter, quite sore & feels warm to the touch &
Test out the meds before you buy more online - now an online lab provides quantitative analytical services19 Feb 2007 00:14 GMT4
Many of us are aware of the risks involved in buying medications from
online pharmacies. They are cheap, yes. But, dont we often wonder if
the tablets are real and contain what they supposed to. Wouldn't it be
great if you not only save money buying the meds cheap online but also
Husband has NSCLC  Stage 418 Feb 2007 17:10 GMT41
Hubby was diagnosed in late Oct. He was having headaches that would
not go away, the Doctor sent him for an MRI, there were over 20
lesions. He then had a liver biopsy which was negative and a lung
biopsy that had a mass that was removed. There were also 3 lymph nodes
Stage 1 BC on >70yo---adjuvant therapy?18 Feb 2007 16:35 GMT8
My mother's diagnosis came in, and it's stage 1 breast cancer.  It was
a small lump, removed with clear margins, and the lymph nodes they
tested were all uninvolved.  I thought that would mean she was done.
However, her doc has her starting a course of oral chemotherapy (don't
Not cancer related, but...18 Feb 2007 16:23 GMT2
And now my grandmother is dying.  It's my father's mom.  When I spoke to him
today, he sounded awful.  Grandma is 97 and has Alzheimer's.  It is her
time.  But what time is good not to be afraid of the death and then mourn
too?
clear scan for csm18 Feb 2007 12:00 GMT9
As I've posted before, I'm done with my chemo (6 months FOLFOX 6 v/
Avastin for stage 3 crc), and had a PET/CT to check for spread.  The
results just came back, and they don't show any cancer.  Earlier scans
have also all been entirely clean, so the primary tumor may have been

I'm supporting my father through the latter stages of lung cancer. He's
suffered through a disrupted curse of chemo and is now part way through a
course of radiotherapy to relieve a secondary in his brain. Luckily, so far,
he has remained pain free.
