I have just been informed today that my father has been diagnosed with
Carcinoma of the Oesophagus. My father is 67 years old and like the
best friend I ever had. Reliable, loving and always up for a challenge
and best of likes fishing....Jesus.. feel like I'm writing his funeral

I hope this doesn't come across as bitter.  I don't intend it so. I also
hope it doesn't offend or upset anyone.  Please just consider what I have
to say here & use it in any way you can to ensure your own or a loved
ones' comfort in the final days of life.

Glioma is only in my optic nerve base (where they meet) that's not in my
brain, Are  the chances of surviving Glioma are low??

Turns out we are out of network with our oncologist- need mom to start chemo
soon.  This will cost us 25% if we decide to stay with him which we could
afford if it not too expensive.  Anyone know a ballpark guess of what the
cost would be??  This is using Taxol and the platinum ...

I was beautiful here today.  It was 85 deg. the roses are still in

I was diagnosed with advanced terminal Esphogeal Cancer 9/20/2002 and told
that I had less than 6 months, between the cancer, chemo and radiation my
weight dropped from 220 lbs to 129. I had sugery to remove the esophogus and
replace it with my stomach thus losing the normal stomach ...

Well I am heading into my CT Biopsy tomorrow morning...I had my first CT Scan
done in July, it included the Abdominal and Pelvic regions...first report
came back good the day or two after...then we recieved an Adendum..there is a
16MM soft tissue mass adjacent to the ascending colon ...

I went for the results of my Pet/Ct scan. Super! Previous tumors are gone.
New spots on the upper left lung show no cancer activity yet.. There is
scarring on the upper right lobe from the radiation. I will be going for
another ct scan in November. Might do a round of chemo after ...

What does 'in situ' mean? Are most breast cancers in the milk ducts?

Takes mild BP medication but BP has never been a problem.
