second infusion of chemo, the chemo nurse stated that her hemoglobin was
a 10 and that that is low. She spoke with mom's doctor and they decided
to go forward with an injection of aranesp, a red blood cell ...

I know that there are people out there who have
estimated cancer rates by profession, but can anyone
tell me where to obtain such info?

Dear Group,
I am currently helping to care for my 65 1/2 year old father who has
secondary gall bladder cancer.  He is undergoing chemotherapy and he is also
legally blind (5 degrees peripheral vision) due to Retinitis Pigmentosa.

He has stomach cancer, and it has spread.  We really don't know how far it's
gone, he hasn't  had surgery yet.  That will come in a week.  My husband
Mike and I are both in great shock.  We were hoping for something else.  He
continues to lose weight.  He's down to only 100 lbs. ...

I understand that there is an imaging test which shows the amount of
U.V. damage that has occured to skin.
I have tried to search for references to this test, but cannot find
any.

There are always risks to surgery.
Read up on doubling time, before making a decision about any advanced
cancer/mets surgeries.
