Establishing a fund to accept tax-deductible donations 05 Aug 2004 01:17 GMT1
Merle and I cannot afford to stay in our apartment. We can rent or buy a
house for much less, but don't have any money for either type of down
payment. A number of people have told us that they would be glad to donate
to that cause IF the donations would be tax-deductible.

Had Brain MRI and Abdomin CT scans Monday and saw Onc. today.  No signs
of cancer (SCLC) in either scan.  Blood work was normal too.
I'm almost recovered from the chemo and radiation (10 months since last
chemo, 6 mo since radiation for brain mets.)

Dad's on a new cancer med04 Aug 2004 15:30 GMT11
They started him on Velcade yesterday.  They have to give it through IV so
they have to stick him.  He will go there and get it once a week for the next
couple of weeks.  Then he'll see what this Dr. says.  It has most of the same
side effects as the Thalidomide.  This is a chemo.  ...

Ukrain03 Aug 2004 01:22 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone out there is using or has heard of an
alternative treatment being used in Europe called Ukrain.  I saw an
old posting about it in which it was said that a homeopath in
Scottsdale, AZ named Berr was able to get it for 30% of what you can
My Wife - Hospice Inpatient02 Aug 2004 20:10 GMT11
My wife is an inpatient in a local Hospice Center. Ovarian Cancer has
won after 6+ years. The nurses I've talked to have said that if they
can get her to stop vomiting for two days on compazine, then maybe she
could come back to the hospital bed that is set up in our living room

Just an update on my mom...she was diagnosed in May with late stage
