In case anyone remembers me...31 Jul 2004 23:35 GMT9
I first posted here around January 2001 after my mother's breast cancer was
given the label "terminal".  I've kept tabs on this newsgroup, and have been
saddened to see so many that once offered their support pass on.  Perhaps
many of you remember Dorothy the Hamster and the story ...

I'm new here31 Jul 2004 23:18 GMT3
As I right this I am so frustrated I could scream.  My husband is
upstairs with "Florence Nightingale" she believes all a person needs to
do is provide a healthy environment and let nature take it's course!
For GOD SAKE if we had let nature take it's course my husband would be

As some of you know, I had my CT scan on Tuesday.  I finally got the
results today.
I don't have the written results in my hands, but the surgeon told me
that they found a peanut-sized spot on my liver that was most likely
Looking for missing skin cancer trigger31 Jul 2004 02:22 GMT15
Hi, gang,
I am 57 years old.  As a child, I was raised mostly in Miami, FL, during a
time when no one ever heard of sunscreens.  All there was back then were
worthless suntan lotions that offered nearly zero protection.  Around 95%
a bit of good news30 Jul 2004 17:27 GMT4
My sister just emailed me.  She had her checkup and chemo yesterday.
She had gained 2lbs since last week.  (I hope that making her favorite
foods and snacks helped in this!  She did eat well!)
Also, the nurses said that using my spacer for her inhaler would be
Ca cervix -- long intro30 Jul 2004 11:11 GMT34
Having spent quite a while lurking on this newsgroup, I thought I'd
actually post something.

Cancer Fatigue30 Jul 2004 02:04 GMT12
Dad has been reading about Cancer Fatigue.  Some of you may have read about.
With some its part of their cancer.  That must be the case with him.  That must
be some of his breathing problems.  That's all I've heard about it.  Mom was
telling me this.
The weekend went well29 Jul 2004 18:16 GMT6
My aunt brought my sister up to spend the weekend.   Although I'd seen
my sister in May it was still a shock to see that she'd lost more
weight and her skin coloring.  Her bones stick out so much - her
shoulders and back bone especially.
Duragesic patches29 Jul 2004 13:35 GMT25
The alt.support.cancer.prostate group suggested that I cross-post this
question to all of you, so here I am.
My 55-year-old husband's prostate cancer has metastisized to the "superscan"
level throughout his skeleton. We are living on charity, and he just
What a month!29 Jul 2004 10:33 GMT10

Avastin use after std. Chemo29 Jul 2004 09:13 GMT31
All,
I dug my heels in yesterday with my Dr. and said I would not participate in
continuing therapy with Avastin after my therapy with the other 3 drugs is
completed.   I am re-assessing my reaction and seeking advice here.

Wow, number 6. The guy has won more Tour De France races than
any other man ever and not only that he has done it consecutively.
8 years ago he was told that his testicular cancer had spread
to his lungs and brain and he had a 50/50 chance of suvival.
Basil Cell Carcinoma on the penis shaft28 Jul 2004 19:54 GMT1
I was just diagnosed with BCC for a red sore on my penis.  My GP
diagnosed it as yeast-infection or dermatitis.  My urologist
concurred
after running a bunch of tests and discovering "nothing" but
