They are giving my mother-in-law a low dose of carboplatin.  She also has a
private room and they have a drainage tube in her nose, because she can't
hold anything down.  She has lost allot of weight, you can really see it in
her face.

As many of you may know, one of the alternative therepies is the salt

Catharine Honeyman (1963 - 2004)24 Apr 2004 04:22 GMT2
Catharine passed away early this week. We knew it was coming since she
hadn't been posting to the breast cancer newsgroup since last Fall and
she'd exhausted all treatments.  She's the last of the "oldies" I'd been
following for years (yet she was so young). I've been reading her ...

Just received new information about my mother-in-law.  She has ovarian
adenocarcinoma (which is cancer that comes from the
glands of ovary tissue),  and it's in the liver too.  She starts chemo
today, but in a very low dose. The name of the chemo is carboplatin.

donating marrow23 Apr 2004 03:44 GMT2
Seems like this is such an easy thing to be a part of, but there's
seemingly a lack of promotion.  Or at least I think there is.  Tell me
if I'm wrong.  I'm speaking of the US.
I used to give blood as often as I could.  I was a popular O+ guy.

Biopsy Report Part 222 Apr 2004 22:19 GMT1
My brother had several polyps removed during a colonoscopy and my
question is, would a separate biopsy report be written up for each polyp

I am new to the group and looking for some answers to my questions.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed last Friday with  Adenocarcinoma,
Metastases. I'm not sure what this is.  I do know it's cancer. We are still
waiting for more tests to determine the grade and how bad it really is.
Worried...22 Apr 2004 11:12 GMT3
Two years ago I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. I
broke all my ribs down the right side, suffered a collapsed lung,
a lung infection, septicaemia and they opened me up to check my
diaphram only to find they had actually punctured my liver with a

Does anyone have any ideas about APR and the rate of sexual dysfunction
following the procedure? I've read on some websites that it occurs about 40
percent of the time due to the proximity of a nerve bundle to the rectal
Throat Cancer at an Early Age?22 Apr 2004 04:53 GMT2
I am a 23 years old smoker that has recently discovered a parculiar
