Aloe vera juice?18 Oct 2005 09:58 GMT1
My hair still hasn't grown back properly.  It's extremely thin with bald
spots on top.  I suspect Arimidex, the estrogen blocker I take, may be
contributing to this problem, but maybe I would have it anyhow.  Asked
oncologist if I could take minoxidil and she laughed and said no, it
Bad news today, advice needed18 Oct 2005 04:47 GMT18
Forgive me plunging in without lurking, but I need some advice.
Today I was told that I had breast cancer.  I was completely stunned,
because I was sure it would turn out to be a benign growth such as I had
10 years ago, and hadn't really allowed myself to consider what I would

I ran across and ordered a no-cost classical music CD dedicated to the

UK Breast cancer survival rates soar11 Oct 2005 22:28 GMT1
Recently reported by the BBC, and probably of interest worldwide:
Breast cancer survival rates soar
Almost two thirds of women now diagnosed with breast cancer are likely

Severe aches after radiotherapy complete11 Oct 2005 17:08 GMT4
Hello all - I'm a newbie
I finished radiotherapy last Thursday after 5 weeks of treatment.  Hooray
for that bit.  However, I found the last 3 days of treatment to be quite
awful.  I had aches the week before, but they were bearable.  But the last
Stage 4 with letrozole (hormone) & lapatinib therapy08 Oct 2005 17:20 GMT10
Wife recently diagnosed with hormone-sensitive stage 4 with bone mets,
as reported before. I said it was inflammational, and indeed it has all
the symptoms (initial itching, no lump, nipple inversion, etc.), but the
medics didn't actually say this, and when asked say that only ...
Re:  Roll Call05 Oct 2005 11:01 GMT3
I am Joan from El Paso, Texas.  I had a lumpectomy of the left breast in
May, 2004, followed by 37 radiation treatments.
My last mammogram was on August 4, 2005, and the findings were normal.
I am 75 years old, so I chose not to have chemo, as I felt it would not do
