Odd Ques.?  Why do they ask about college on medical forms??08 Jul 2005 09:47 GMT5
When Mom and I went to her radiologist last week she filled out the usual
forms about health...and one of the questions asked about education.  Did
you graduate H.S.?  College?  We both thought this was weird. What's
education level have to do with cancer and treatment of the ...

Tim and Mary and other people here from my most beloved England, my
heart goes out to you and your families.  I am so outraged I can't
stop crying.

FAO Su-Texas: your website05 Jul 2005 15:06 GMT34
I've just visited it for the first time.
The list of not recommended professionals is amazingly long - I doubt that
even in my long life I've ever seen as many.
Are there any who ARE recommended?

and all is well!  Thank you so much for keeping me in your thoughts and

to say, I am vastly relieved.  Now, I'm gonna go to our local Relay for Life
today and make a survivors' lap this ...
Sudden Rash on Affected BC Breast?04 Jul 2005 21:14 GMT4
Last night after showering, I started to dust off with this cornstarch
powder I was told I could use after my bc lumpectomy in 2003.  I noticed
I had an odd rash all over the right chest area and breast.  I underwent
chemo and radiation (2004) and did not have any bad effects from ...
Back on Herceptin04 Jul 2005 10:46 GMT9
I was disappointed when my oncologist told me she had to stop giving me
Herceptin after only a couple of treatments, because my "ejection fraction"
had significantly declined.  Now, 3 months or so later, I've been cleared by
a cardiologist to go back on Herceptin.  But instead of ...
A bit concerned......04 Jul 2005 05:23 GMT12
Hello Group,
Went for my annual mammogram yesterday and thought that when they didn't ask
for additional pics, things were A-ok.  My pcp's office called this
afternoon to tell me that there were some calcifications that have been
"Janet and Me"04 Jul 2005 03:18 GMT2
Just read Janet and me by author and illustrator Stan Mack; it's about his
wife's encounter with bc and ends with her death so it's a sad and harrowing
read in many ways, but also oddly uplifting.  It also contains some good
lessons for caregivers.
Heart Tests: Flaws & Failings of MUGA03 Jul 2005 20:26 GMT90
I spoke with the cancer center, & the MUGA test doesn't actually check
very good for heart damage.
All that the MUGA report states, the only sentence in it, ..... is about
the left ventricular (ventricle ?) ejection fraction, the percent.

Stereotactic biopsy done....01 Jul 2005 15:04 GMT4
and I'm now awaiting pathology.  I didn't mind the procedure a bit.  If I
could have been emotionally detached, I'd have found it fascinating.  Being
on my tummy wasn't a problem and the only discomfort was the injection of
the numbing agent.  Results may be back as soon as ...
