sore lower back10 Dec 2004 17:25 GMT3
Oct 1, my wife finished her chemotherapy. It was a AC+T regiment. She was
doing OK. However, starting from about fifteen days ago, she started to feel
some sore and tenderness in the lower back area, almost around the end of
her spine (backbone). Not really serious. Sometimes she ...

Thinning hair09 Dec 2004 00:37 GMT2
A quick review:  I was diagnosed with Stage IIIA bc in Oct., 2000.  Had both
chemo & radiation, and started on Tamoxifen in Sept. 2001.  My hair started
to thin and I had other bad side effects, so last May I switched to Femara.
I thought my problems would be over.  Wrong!  Now ...

This morning, I noticed that a small black mole has popped up suddenly,
on the inner & upper area of my thigh.
At first, I thought it might be an odd-looking tick or something, but
it's a mole.

In April of 1998, I was diagnosed with heart disease. I had experienced
periodic episodes of dizziness, and learned that after wearing the 24-hour
Holter monitor, sometimes there were 4-5 seconds between each heartbeat - no
wonder I was lightheaded! In addition, my heart rate was ...

I had a lump removed from my left breast in early October, the results

Lump discovered during pregnancy07 Dec 2004 21:43 GMT5
My sister has recently discovered a hard lump and is 7 weeks away from her
delivery date. Does anyone have any information on breast cancer in young
pregnant women? She is 24 years old and this is her second pregnancy. An
ultrasound has been done and she has now been referred to the ...
MammoSite06 Dec 2004 21:32 GMT6
I am hopefully awaiting word if I can have this procedure for radiation
rather than the 30 treatments usually given.  It basically is inserting tube
and having "seed" injected for 10 minutes, then withdrawn, 2 times a day for
5 days.  Spares trauma to rest of breast and much less ...

Have heard from no one who has done this 5 day radiation treatment.  If
anyone out there please tell me about your experience.

Hello Group,
Does everyone that takes chemo lose their hair?
Also, how long after you start chemo does it start falling out?
Thanks!
Low Platelets06 Dec 2004 17:50 GMT3
My wife, Ann (age 57), has been battling breast cancer for over 12 years
now.  During the last 6 years the disease metastasized in her bones, and
she's taken every chemo known to oncology.  She responded to many of them,
but eventually became resistant.  Now, the only option ...
When should my wife get checked?02 Dec 2004 22:25 GMT7
My wife turned 32. Her mother died of lymphoma (sp) at age 43 10 years
ago. Her  grandmother had breast cancer at age of 50. So we don't know
if her mother would have gotten breast cancer or not.
My question, what age should my wife get mamograms? I'm pushing that

I have a strong theory that Electrical Shock Injury causes Breast Cancer.
Not everyday static shock but industrial strength electrical injury.
Anyone else like to comment on this somewhat
controversial area?

Pain after chemo...01 Dec 2004 15:41 GMT5
Thanks once again for all your earlier advice.
My mom was given radiation on Friday to the lower back; and took her
first dosage of chemo (Taxotere and xeloda) on Wednesday. Since Friday
night, she has been complaining of severe stomach pain; and a burning
