I probably know the answer to this one; but anyway,
my mom had been having pain in the hip for the past two weeks or so.
She said it started when she tried lifting some weights in the gym
with her feet which were too heavy; and she felt a sudden pain in her

hi all -thanks so much for all the info.
i got the thyroid screen tests back and all are in normal range.
so i'm left with an enlarged thyroid that's acting normally apparently.
they (obgyn found it) said that normally they would want to do an untrasound

As I posted earlier; my mom was just diagnosed with bone, lung and
probably liver mets too; a year after her first treatment got over.
Seems like the cancer just waited for the chemo to get over before
starting to spread again.

My wife had a mastectomy in '95, is finished with infused chemo and on
Tamoxifen.  Doc is worried because her blood sodium has been dropping for
several months; not yet at a dangerous level but getting there.  Anyone with
experience/info on this?

I posted last week that had lumpectomy for DCIS, then had another.  This
time it turned out that edges all clear so when I go next week I am sure Dr.
will want to set me up for radiology.  I am skeptical that I can handle this
as I hear it makes you so tired and with rheumatoid ...

Hello in there.
A quick update on my situation: I've had a bone scintigraphy done
which turned out negative, and the final staging was infiltrating
ductal carcinoma, T2 (2,5 cm diameter) N0 (sentinel) M0, G3, negative

Expected to finally hear a final word from onc today - nope - MRI
confirmed bone scan suspicion - now a biopsy of iliac (sp?) - and a body
CAT scan are planned - beginning to be frightened. Long haul from
mastectomy (r) on 8/24 er+ - sentinel node positive - other 18 -.

In one of the bc fora someone has said that Ven can inhibit the
effectiveness of Tam, although I've read about reactions between Paxil and
Tam, I have heard nothing specific about these two.
Does anyone have references to specific studies?
