I am also 74, and was diagnosed with b.c. in Feb. 04. I was given the choice of lumpectomy or mastectomy, and chose lumpectomy. I am now receiving IMRT radiation, and then will have CMF chemo. I feel I am getting the best care available in my area, and my surgeon did discuss ...

My wife was operated on for breast cancer and for the past three years has been taking tamoxafin. Recently she has been having some lung problems. She has seen a lung doctor . I know this is an reach but does anyone know of a connection between tamoxafin and lung problems?

Had my first chemo today and apart from feeling a bit tired and spacey I feel OK for now. Have lots of meds if I am feeling yukkie. The good news is bone, liver and lung scans clear !!!!! My veins were terrible so I am having a port put in before next chemo.
