Pathology Report24 Jun 2004 04:07 GMT3
Was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago, had a lumpectomy done 2

doctor has not called me back to confirm.  Path reports ...
Update after today's oncology appt.23 Jun 2004 23:17 GMT7
Today we saw 2nd opinion oncologist.  He is having me see him every 2 months.
(Regular oncologist changed my scheduled appts from every 3 months to every 4
months because I was 3 years out).
2nd opinion onc. confirmed that my worsening lymphedema could be due to

cervical cancer 11 years ago and now has mets in lymph nodes throughout
her abdomen area.   I am her primary care giver.  It's a horrible thing
to watch.  <Stay with me I am coming to my point.>  Now I have a ...

Methods of Cooking Food23 Jun 2004 01:36 GMT3
The best I can remember, Tim said that he prefers cooking in double
boiler or steaming, in order to better regulate (control) the
temperature of food.
But what about the preference of heating element under the double
Thoughts about 2nd Opinions22 Jun 2004 22:20 GMT1
For people seeking a 2nd (or more) Opinion, you might want to find out if your
doctor has discussed your case with any type of round table group.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago, I didn't feel it
necessary to seek a second opinion because my breast surgeon ...
Radiation Treatment21 Jun 2004 17:43 GMT2
I just had a lumpectomy for IDC (1.2 cm, Grade I) and DCIS (high-grade,
comedo-type, 2.4 cm), with no node involvement.  I was told that I
should do radiation, but I will not be able to do so for another 3-4
mos., based on personal scheduling matters (and nothing at all to do

kay301, whoever you R20 Jun 2004 15:07 GMT8
To talk in absolutes when it come to illness or anything else for that
matter is not logical or scientific?
The question was aimed at people who "could" recall the question, you
obviously misunderstood the replies I requested. I did not ask for advice
Increased liver function test results / possible concern re other scan20 Jun 2004 06:54 GMT4
I haven't bored you with the details of my situation as of late--too
complicated to even relate all that is going on.  My lymphedema arm has been
worsening since December and have been again bounced around like a ping-pong
ball re that situation.  It would almost be a comedy scene ...

In a few hours I will be leaving to spend the night with a good
friend/colleague who was just dx'd with breast cancer.  She asked if I would
come be with her.  Tomorrow is her surgery--lumpectomy and "node removal."
She called me when she noticed the lump.  She went in right away ...
Arimidex and Bone Loss Questions19 Jun 2004 00:13 GMT15
Hi folks.  I haven't been posting for a while due to the fact that I was
trying to find a new Oncologist on my new health plan.  If some of you

completed my Chemo and my 35 radiation treatments my  former Oncologist
goody bag for chemo18 Jun 2004 16:58 GMT8
I am a nurse working with a breast surgeon.  We recently diagnosed my oldest
and dearest friend.  Surgery is complete so I can now be her friend instead
of nurse/friend.  I've been lurking for 5 years, gaining great insight for
my patients.  I need help now.  I would like to put ...
