Has anyone been given Neumega (oprelvekin) shots to increase very low
platelet counts?  Or does anyone know anything about it--ie, is it
good, safe, side effects, etc?  I'm going to ask my doctor about it
tomorrow, but thought I'd seen if anyone here has had any experience

I saw an oncologist today who reviewed my reports.  He said I was HR
negative, so is recommending chemo with Cytoxan, Methotrexate, and
5-Fluorouracil.  The descriptions of these drugs he gave me seem to have
lots of side effects, though he said I would require about 14 weeks of

My wife started to feel mouth sore now. She just had her first chem
injection two and half weeks ago. Will she always feels this or there are
some breaks as treatment cycles go on?

The weekly chemo is done and my wife is now on Tamoxifenand the second
anniversary of the diagnosis is at hand with no signs of recurrence.  It
feels as though the weight is lifting and in celebration of that and of our
40th, which is on June 6, we've rented a villa near St. Tropez ...

My doctor is recommending that I start Faslodex for my stage 4 BC.  I
tried Tamoxifen a couple of years ago, and the side effects were so
bad that I had to stop it within a week.  Since they're both hormonal
treatments, I'm a bit worried that I might have similar problems with
