I haven't posted for awhile but I have been lurking. DX 8/02, Lumpectomy 9/02, Chemo 10-12/02, Rads 6 1/2 weeks 03. I'm one year free. Now I seem to have lots of pain in my breast. I see a DR. every 3 months they don't feel any thing and my last mammo didn't show

Today the doctor switched me from Femara, to something that starts with an A (not Arimidex). I surely hope, that this med doesn't have such severe side effects, as the others have had.

Just got back from Dr. Smiley's office. Deborah's CEA has risen from 1.6 to 4.9 in the past three months and CA 15-3 from 27 to 45 in the same period. So - we switched to Arimidex + Zoladex today. Deborah has done

What are the (say 5 yr) BC survival rates for women who get mets vs no mets? How about 5 yr survival rates for women who have no recurrance of BC after the first round of chemo vs if the women get BC again after a round of chemo?

I was on Arimidex for maybe a year, when I got sudden acute lymphedema in my left arm. This was very disabling & painful. The arm & wrist have remained swollen for months, & (at times) swell more.
