DX 8/02,  Lumpectomy 9/02, Chemo 10-12/02,  Rads 6 1/2 weeks 03.
I'm one year free. Now I seem to have lots of pain in my breast. I see a DR.
every 3 months they don't feel any thing and my last mammo didn't show

Today the doctor switched me from Femara, to something that starts with
an A (not Arimidex).
I surely hope, that this med doesn't have such severe side effects, as
the others have had.

During those almost two years (Mar 2000 to Oct 2001), when I was
desperately seeking testing, diagnosis, & care for the new breast lump,
.. & when it grew to be about 6 by 6 by 2 inches, ... there'd be times
when it stopped growing.

Just got back from Dr. Smiley's office.  Deborah's CEA has risen from
1.6 to 4.9 in the past three months and CA 15-3 from 27 to 45 in the
same period.

What are the (say 5 yr) BC survival rates for women who get mets vs
no mets? How about 5 yr survival rates for women who have no
recurrance of BC after the first round of chemo vs if the women get
BC again after a round of chemo?

I'm looking for anyone with experience using Arimidex. My wife's been on it
for about 4 months, and she's started getting bone/joint aches. She did a
little reasearch, and learned that about 30% get this side effect. She's
committed to staying on it, but we're wondering if anyone ...

I was on Arimidex for maybe a year, when I got sudden acute lymphedema
in my left arm.  This was very disabling & painful.  
The arm & wrist have remained swollen for months, & (at times) swell
more.
