Did you say "No" to chemo?11 Jan 2004 19:29 GMT15
My mom (49) had a partial mastectomy recently - infiltrating ductal
carcinoma; two small tumors in the right breast.  They removed the sentinel
node to be safe, and it was negative.  Chest X-ray and bone scan were as

Pensive day...10 Jan 2004 23:04 GMT2
Well, as I mentioned in another post, I finally feel like I have met a dr. who

of ways re my on-going shoulder and upper arm pain which has only been there
four 5 months, hurting mostly at night--with ...

The 866 phone number given at their web-site doesn't work.  I sent an

bronchitis/pneumonia stuff, plus the medicines are making me groggy.
Report was all good10 Jan 2004 02:43 GMT3
I posted a few weeks ago about the tiny hard lump I found. I got the
mammo done today.... they didn't find anything, but they did feel it.
I was persistent and I wanted this investigated, so they scheduled for

Back to Tamoxifen!08 Jan 2004 09:29 GMT1
Today I saw my oncologist and 3 weeks ago he said I would have to start
on Arimidex after I finish my radiation treatments in a couple of weeks.
I asked him if he had read the typed info I gave him on my medical
conditions and problems with osteoarthritis.  Well....today he said he

American Hospital Association = Joke?08 Jan 2004 00:43 GMT49
Fixed Contests
The American Hospital Association seems to be a club/association, which
hospitals/etc can pay dues to & join.  http://www.aha.org

OHIP and Reconstruction07 Jan 2004 01:23 GMT2
Does anyone know if OHIP (Ontario, Canada's public health coverage) covers
the cost of a breast reconstruction? I am sure they cover the surgeon for a
mastectomy but what about a plastic surgeon?
I'm getting some results back that are showing I'm not a good candidate for
Feeling Stressed06 Jan 2004 11:23 GMT5
I hope you will forgive this long post and, perhaps, spare a little
time to respond. I am not, at the moment, going through, anything like
many users of this NG but I could do with a little moral support.
The cancer patient is my mother, not myself. She was diagnosed as

months ago,  bone scan. CAT scan, PET scan, chest xray, before a D&C,
and a Mammo. All reported clear. For the past couple of weeks I ...
