A question just occured to me this weekend and since I am not due to see my Oncologist for 3 months, I hope you folks can educate me about this. He said I am to take the Tamoxifen for 5 years with the hopes that the bc won't return, if I am lucky. BUT ......what happens after the 5

Hi. Can someone give me their ideas on these question? At first it was thought that I had two bc tumours, connected by bridging and they were 5.5cm by 5 cm. It turns out from MRI that there are about 7 tumours.

I called my pharmacy guy today and asked him if one is concerned about the Tamoxifen side effects such as stomach problems, nausea etc. and one is on a dosage of 20 mg. per day, would it be better to take one 10 mg. Tamoxifen after breakfast and another 10mg pill after supper or ...

Today I read that Tamoxifen is an anti-fungal, & that Arimidex/etc are aromatase inhibitors (estrogen-production blockers). I had very bad reactions to aromatase inhibitors, but might do OK on an anti-fungal.
