? for Sandy L or anyone who has info--aortocaval lymph node...10 Dec 2003 05:23 GMT11
I was wondering if anyone knew what an aortocaval lymph node is and what the
significance of an enlarged one might mean?  Is there a way to biopsy it or can
it be removed?  Where exactly is it?  If malignant what symptoms might there
be?  Can radiation help?
Radiologist09 Dec 2003 22:16 GMT6
My radiation stopped two years ago.  Does anyone here know why I still need
to see the radiologist?  I feel fine.  Plus if something should go wrong,
what is he going to do, take the radiation away?  I just can't afford all
these doctors.  I am in debt to the max and never will get ...

Since the botched mastectomy in April 2003 (at Baylor/Methodist in
Houston), I've had yeast infection on the skin.
At that time, the yeast & other infections were treated for months.  The
yeast infection became less, but never completely cleared up.  And now

Nothing to worry about yet as they've been rock solid at 27 for the

Ommaya Reservoir08 Dec 2003 13:34 GMT3
My mom has had an Ommaya Reservoir implanted to treat breast cancer that has

with getting chemotherapy in this manner? She had been getting chemo through
spinal taps prior to getting the implant. ...
Bone scan results...07 Dec 2003 16:41 GMT42
Okay, as I mentioned I had another bone scan earlier this week.  I should be
thrilled with the report.  I picked up a copy of the films and the report
yesterday.  The report reads 3-lines.  It states "small foci of increased
tracer uptake at L4 and L5, likely due to degenerative ...

Post Operative discomfort from Sentinel Node Biopsy06 Dec 2003 15:42 GMT5
Hello all, I had a lumpectomy with a sentinel node biopsy and lymph
node removal on 11-19.  I'm experiencing quite a bit of swelling and
discomfort under my arm. I have seen the doctor twice and he tells me
that draining the fluid would not do any good since more fluid would

Soy Foods and Cancer05 Dec 2003 23:08 GMT9
At a recent bc support meeting, a member mentioned that her doctor told
her she could not have Soy products due to the type of cancer she has.
At that time, I had no idea I was ER+ and Soy is supposed to be a no-no
for us so I did not ask her more about it.  My own doctor has not ...
Doc & Med Obsessions?05 Dec 2003 18:17 GMT5
I meet people (young & old) who are obsessed with their health, with
seeing doctors & taking medications (many).
They don't want to learn or know about things like nutrition, good
dental care, good health care & habits, exercise, positive mental focus,

Sentinel Node Biopsy05 Dec 2003 17:10 GMT4
I had a sentinel node biopsy and removal of the lymph nodes done on
11-19.  I'm having significant swelling under that arm.  I have seen
the doctor twice but have been told that draining the accumulated
fluid would result in more fluid appearing and there didn't seem to be
