How soon after Chemo is Radiation??24 Nov 2003 19:31 GMT7
Is there a "set" time that they must wait to do our radiation treatments
after we are done with Chemo?  Is it the same for everyone or does it
depend on what type of Chem we get and for how long?   I ask this
because my oncologist said today I must wait 2 weeks after my last Chemo

Doing the walk and where it is taking me...24 Nov 2003 04:07 GMT2
Just wanted to share that accomplishing the 3-day walk gave me a further sense
of enpowerment--maybe I did make that 'running' train I jumped on.  Dare I hope
to believe that the dr's were able to get 'all' of the cancer and that this may
someday be something of my past.  Why can't ...
Cancer Markers23 Nov 2003 22:59 GMT13
Yesterday I received my cancer markers and the oncologist was happy as
they had gone down.  I have stage IV BC with meds to the liver.  I think
I understand what it means, however I have no clue as to the numbers.
Perhaps one of you might explain.  Also if you might tell me what is
Do people tell you about other people whom have died from cancer?22 Nov 2003 10:13 GMT14
Over the past few months, Janet has become increasingly upset by people,
seemingly in all innocence, who tell her about their friend, or mum, or
friend of a friend, who had cancer, went into remission, but it came
back 5 years, or 10 years, or 15 years later, and they died.
Clinical trial sign up online.22 Nov 2003 09:01 GMT2
Hello folks.  I recently found a free online service that will assist you in
finding a clinical trial.  The site is

and match you up to a number of different clinical trials by type.  There

love to go in with some ammo so to speak...This is where I could use ...

More scared...20 Nov 2003 19:52 GMT63
This morning after I sat up from my side and then stood, the balance issue was
still there but seemed a little milder.  Last night I did some of the exercises
for benign paroxymal positional vertigo, should that be what I have.  I got up
and stumbled, didn't seem as bad at first.  ...

I did it--3 day breast cancer walk!20 Nov 2003 03:14 GMT7
This past weekend I did  the Susan G. Komen 3-day Breast Cancer walk in L.A.
Except for blisters (which were quite tolerable), I was unscathed.  The

training more doable than if I had tried to do it alone ...
