Life Energy Stuff.30 Jan 2005 11:52 GMT28
Anyone that has "been there, seen that and done that" during their life
will most likely have noticed repeated instances of quite incredible
events. The area I am suggesting is in instances where prayer groups or
whatever would appear to have had effect in a persons recovery from a
OT - Too Bad29 Jan 2005 23:32 GMT102
Too bad a message group that has so much to offer is overrun by so much
negativity and aggression.  *None* of us need that.

Any asthmatics out there use these things? If so, tell me
about them. Is one brand or type better than another, etc.

"For members using AOL over a dial-up connection, you will no longer be able to

The above is being posted to all AOL members.  It might be a good thing,
considering the quality of postings to A.S.A. these last few months.  It

OT Apologies25 Jan 2005 12:58 GMT2
I am sorry to *everyone* for going off like I did when I first got
here... It is just a natural knee-jerk response with me when I think I
see someone attacking others with what *appears* to be no just cause..
or no stated cause (I admit, I did step in clueless).  Name calling and ...
2nd annual: Are shoes a cause of asthma?25 Jan 2005 01:38 GMT10
Given the responses it kicked off last year here in the newsgroups, I

Polyurethane a safe material for dust-mite-proof bed protector?23 Jan 2005 17:25 GMT11
Hi, I am looking for a bed protector to reduce or eliminate the dust
mites for my son.  Most of them use polyurethane membrane as the
barrier.  Is polyurethane a proven safe material for long term use?  We
spend 1/3 of our time in the bed and I heard Polyurethane foam should

What if anything does "pharmaceutical grade" add to a supplement's
desirability other than a marketing slant?

Inhaled steroids and reduced immune response?22 Jan 2005 19:35 GMT13
I know that, back in the days of oral prednisone, immune system
compromise was a real concern - as it is now for those still taking oral
steroids.
Has the risk increase with inhaled steroids been studied?  I confess to
Asthma but it isnt maybe?????22 Jan 2005 02:41 GMT7

Zyrtec and Allegra - no RX required in Canada19 Jan 2005 20:08 GMT7
I didn't know this until today, but in Canada, Zyrtec and Allegra can
be purchased without a prescription and the prices are quite a bit
cheaper than they are here (no surprise there).  I'm switching
insurance carriers (finally getting off Illinois' high risk pool at
